Pawel Tomasz Wasilewski also referred to by the name Paul Wesley, is an award-winning actor producer and director famous for his work in the cult television the show The Vampire Diaries. In recognition of his performance in the series, He was awarded numerous awards and nominations. Wesley was born in New Brunswick in New Jersey. He studied throughout the United States. Later he enrolled at Rutgers University. However, after realizing that he was gifted acting as an actress, and knowing being able to earn a living out of his acting talents the school was closed. He first appeared on an episode of the American TV show Another World. Two years later he appeared as the lead character in Wolf Lake, a television series that aired on the CBS network. In the following year, when he landed the character Stefan Salvatore for the American television program The Vampire Diaries, his professional life was completely transformed. He has directed a few episodes from the show as well. Following his first appearance as a film star with The Last Run, he was in a variety of other films. Recent appearances include Mothers and Daughters and The Late Bloomer as a supporting actor. He's also well-known on social media, with over 13 million Instagram followers and more than 4.1 million Twitter followers.
